The 2025 Smail 500 Finale: Record Donations and New Champions Crowned

The 2025 Smail 500 wrapped up with a bang, delivering not just friendly competition, but a tidal wave of generosity. This year’s Smail Auto Group food drive, benefiting the Westmoreland Food Bank, proved to be a runaway success—setting new records across multiple dealerships and crowning a deserving new champion.

Throughout the campaign, dealerships across the group rallied their communities and team members, collecting non-perishable food donations in hopes of taking home the coveted Smail 500 trophy. Taylor Smail and Brian Keegan kept the excitement high, visiting locations and spotlighting the outstanding teamwork at each stop.

A Year for the Record Books

A highlight from this year’s finale was the Pre-Owned Center 2, which astonished everyone by collecting a whopping 2,188 items. “This is more than tripled than what we had last week’s count,” said Sam, who credited the outpouring of support from both in-house staff and generous community donors—including both local businesses and even a three-year-old ‘tiny helper’ named Dominic.

But the winning spirit didn’t stop there. Smail Ford and Lincoln, represented by Maya, gathered an impressive 1,331 items, showcasing a huge leap from last year. Meanwhile, Kia’s “Team Nizzy” raised their own bar with 1,246 items, citing “immense participation from all of our co-workers.”

Other dealerships had their own stand-out moments—GMC reached a possible all-time high with 741 items, while the Mazda team drew on partnerships with outside organizations to bring their total to 573. Even the smaller stores and service departments, like Collision (438 items) and Mercedes Benz (181 items), pitched in with enthusiasm and pride.

It wasn’t just about the numbers; it was about feeding families and supporting the community. As Maya put it, “It’s not about being first; it’s about going to the food drive and feeding these families this year.”

The Smail 500 has always been about more than competition—it’s about community, kindness, and coming together. Brian Keegan and Taylor Smail summed it up perfectly, congratulating every store and individual involved.
