Smail Key Employee Recognition Awards – Dave Basl

🔑Our next Key Employee Award goes to the late Dave Basl, who received 9 nominations for the Customer First category!

Dave exemplified what this award is by always putting the customer’s needs and desires first and doing whatever possible to make the customer happy. Dave’s wife, Lois, came to the dealership to accept his award.

Dave is greatly missed, not only for the work he did, but also for who he was!

One co-worker submitted:
“Dave worked tirelessly to ensure the customers were always taken care of. He was easily the first one in the dealership every single day coming in before 6 am. He was most often the last service team member to leave, staying until 6 or 7. He did this to make sure the customer’s pick up and returns went smoothly and went without any problems. Dave was also a rock to depend on during Covid. With so many employees out sick you knew he would be there and the service department really didn’t miss a beat even when key employees and leaders were out sick. He was one in a million – for sure!”
