Mark Smail (Center) of Smail Auto Group receives award from PAA Chairman Matt Clark (Left) and PAC Chairman Duke Scott (Right)

On April 22nd, at the meeting of the Pennsylvania Automotive Association (PAA) Board of Directors, Mark Smail was awarded the 2021 Bud Smail Political Advocacy Award!

The PAA chose Mr. Smail for this award because of his years of dedication to the PAA legislative program and for his great support of PAA’s Political Action Committee (PAC) fundraising efforts.

A long-term supporter of the Phone-A-Thon in Pittsburgh, in 2021 Mark Smail further spread the message of PAA’s legislative efforts and began a campaign to get his management team involved in giving.

PAA’s Bud Smail Political Advocacy Award was created in 2019 and honors the extraordinary contributions of dealers who greatly assist the association in raising funds for the PAA PAC and further the association’s goals regarding public policy, political and legislative advocacy. It is named after the late Bud Smail, a great supporter of PAA and NADA, and Mark’s father.
