Class of 2019: Redesigned Vehicles

With 2018 in the rearview mirror, we thought it was time to highlight some of the redesigned vehicles of the new year. While there are many new vehicles for 2019, we chose a few of our favorites. Acura RDX
The new RDX sits on its own redesigned platform. However, it incorporates a lot of styling from its larger sibling, the MDX. The A-Spec model features a diamond pentagon grille, LED jewel eye headlights, LED fog lights, 20-inch shark grey wheels, and large exhaust ports. The interior of the RDX boasts a tri-level dashboard and an NSX Supercar inspired middle console. The interior materials include perforated leather seats, brushed metal style door trim, and microfiber suede inserts. The True Touch entertainment system is complete with a touchpad and 3D surround sound.
 
Cadillac XT4
Like the RDX, the new XT4 sits on its own redesigned platform. The front end takes its cues from the CT6. For instance, it features full LED headlights, and a black finished grille on the Sport trim. While 18 inch wheels are standard on the XT4, buyers can purchase optional 20-inch graphite wheels for the Sport trim. The back of the XT4 sports full LED taillights, a trapezoid exhaust, and an optional foot powered tailgate. Remote and push button start is standard on the new XT4. 
 
Ford Ranger
The Ford Ranger returns to the States with a 2.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that boasts 310 pound feet of torque. The Ranger has been updated with modern safety equipment like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking. The new infotainment system is complete with Ford Sync. On the other hand, it has retained its towing (7,500 lbs), and off-road capabilities. For example, the FX4 off-road package adds skid plates, an off-road tuned suspension, a terrain management system, and trail control, which manages braking and acceleration. 
 
GMC Sierra
?
Without a doubt, the most exciting feature on the new Sierra is its multifaceted tailgate design. The power tailgate has a fold down step system, complete with a hidden handle to help drivers get in and out of the bed. The front end features a large chrome grille with aggressive headlights and fog lights. rearview mirror camera, The Sierra has ample storage space with a large middle console, a dashboard cubby, two glove boxes, and hidden storage compartments in middle of the backseats. The dash is home to a digital information screen which shows things like air filter and brake pad life. Within the entertainment system, drivers can add custom trailering settings and complete trailering checklists. 
 
Lincoln Nautilus
The new Nautilus, formerly the MKX, has two engine options. Buyers can choose between the 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine on the base model, or a 2.7L twin turbo engine on the higher trims. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed auto transmission. The transmission is control with a push button shifter system. The cabin has been redesigned with thicker, acoustic-laminated glass and installation, resulting in a quieter cabin. A tech package adds lane centering software and Ultra-Comfort 22-way adjustable front seats.
