Cars in the Community: Action for Animals

In today’s episode of Cars in the Community, we take a 2019 Honda CR-V to Action for Animals Humane Society in Latrobe, PA to talk about their upcoming Love is in the Air Event. We also got a tour of the shelter, and made some furry friends!
Action For Animals Humane Society non-profit, non-government funded, no-kill shelter that keeps animals free from the threat of euthanasia. It provides care for abused, abandoned and stray dogs and cats, and is Westmoreland County’s oldest no-kill shelter. The shelter brings in an average of 1000 to 1400 animals each year, and completes approximately 900 adoptions. In addition to rescue and adoption, it also provides a low cost spay/neuter program, education programs, free board to animals of domestic violence victims, volunteer opportunities and rabies clinics.
Special thanks to LuAnn Hutcheson, and everyone at Action for Animals for letting us visit! For more information on Action for Animals, visit their website at
